No Working Title

inally managed to post a few photos from 'No Working Tile'
together with 11 others we curated and hang the exhibition the gallery space at Uni SionHill Gallery Bath School of Art and Design.

A collaboration with Norwich College of Art and Winchester School of Art and Design, 12 fine art students from each institution were randomly paired up and sent a set of instructions to each other, to create a piece of artwork.

We met up at the Tate Modern in March and had a day of conversation with Ann Coxon, Assistant Curator of Displays at the Tate about the project and the works.

As the work for the traveling Exhibition was sent and received to all institutes by post this became our curatorial theme. brown boxes and paper were used to display the work and brown parcel tape was used to join work and instruction together!

The instruction I received, from Emily Clark at winchester, was to to think about the word 'Escapism' after much deliberation i recored all the cups of Tea that i was drinking in the form of a print from the bottom of each mug/cup.

the instructions i sent were a package enclosed was a disposable camera along with the instructions to document a journey, to think about the surroundings, people, animals, place, sounds and smells Emily displayed 12 photographs showing the route that she had taken of a journey through Whichurch somewhere she had never been before.

Paper Plate

Berlin

Paper plate seen hanging out of a house window like it was a kite.
i thought this was a bit strange to see after looking more closely at it, i saw that there was a drawing that seemed to be done by a child of a smiling face.

so my some of the work included in my assessment were, several large canvases and paintings on Fabriarno paper, Arm span paintings and prints looking into the span of the arm and body with printing process. Experimental printing methods and different ways that i looked into catching part of the process in which i paint.

Private View Night

So here is a look at the work that went into our TRACE Exhibition and some photos from the private view.

TRACE is an exhibition of work by five second year fine artists from a variety of disciplines. This new work will explore the theme of 'traces'.

For the exhibition i was continuing with my printing method that i had been exploring over the second year and for my final assessment. i though this was fitting for TRACE and catching part of the process was like collecting a trace of my painting. leaving me with the residue of what has formally been there and the remains of what is now left behind. a final trace.

T R A C E Exhibition.

For my second year 3 week out of studio project I have been involved in an exhibition in Bath this week with four other artists Called “T R A C E”. We have managed to get hold of an empty shop owned by Bath City Council. This is the poster we have made poster, each one is different as each of us has left our finger print on every one. Leaving our traces.
